Once Upon a Time...in a magical land not too far away, there lived two happy, but ordinary people. Up to that fateful day, even though there were many chances, their lives had never crossed paths.
She was a beautiful Southern Belle with the class and traditions of the old south, but also the grace and presence of a contemporary woman. When she entered a room, she emanated the pomp and splendor of a Queen.
He was a hard-working, original Southern Gentleman, battered and war-torn from many life struggles, but strong and confident in his beliefs, values, and desires.
He was in search of his princess, to share those golden years of life that were remaining and that he had so diligently prepared for. As they say in the fairy tale, to "Live Happily Ever After."
It was a chance meeting, thanks to a new technological world, that first brought them together. Searching the world takes on a new meaning these days, but it's just another clear example of how God brings people together to do his will.
It was easy for him to see, he had found his princess, but combining lives is not an easy task. Romance and dating in the later years is certainly easier though so let the journey begin.
As Walt Disney once said, "If you can dream it, you can build it!" It certainly applies to relationships too. It also helps to live in the most magical place on earth. Where Dreams Do Come True and Fairy Tales begin.
With the encouraging words of Prince Charming, he asks....
"My Dearest Teresa......You know I love you with all my heart, and there is no one in the world that I would rather spend the rest of my life with than you.....
Will You Marry Me!"
All the Kings Court were elated with the news.
There was a celebration in the happiest place on earth
Their parting words were, "We thank you now, God our Father, for your heavenly blessing, and thank you, "our" Fairy Godmother, for making all this happen.
Let this new Cinderella story begin where the fairy tale leaves off.
May each new day be more exciting and rewarding than the last as this journey together continues.
And may God bless and protect this union, until the end of time.....
